Tsuriel Horin / Chairman Of Board

Tsuriel, married + 4, lives in Herzliya.

 

Tsuriel has over 30 years of hi-tech experience, running and establishing successful global companies and startups. Tsuriel has been managing hundreds of employees and overseeing multimillion dollars' budgets. His roles have included: VP and board member at IBM Israel; Integration Manager at Heznek; CEO of a computer solutions company for the retail market; VP and board member at HP Israel; and Senior VP at Ness Technologies. To date, Tsuriel is an active partner in several projects.

 

Tsuriel joined Tech-Career in January 2015. Prior to joining he served as a mentor at Olim Beyahad for over nine years.

 

Tsuriel holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Technion-The Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa.

Nir Gorni

Nir Gorni is the founder and owner of the Cashcontrol startup company, a business consultant and an experienced financial officer. Nir holds a B.A. in Economics and has served as a financial and business consultant to hundreds of businesses and organizations.

 

Nir has been a board member and treasurer at Tech-Career since 2008. He is a member of Kibbutz Gvaram, married with 3 children.

Shmuel Quittner

Shmuel has over 40 years of hi-tech experience – programming, systems analysis, software management, and sales and marketing, in leading computer companies such as DEC, CDC and HP.

He served as CEO at Orbot Pacific (a subsidiary of Orbot Systems, international leader of automatic optical control systems for the PCB industry). He later served as the Israel representative of international leaders in the manufacturing of test systems for semi-conductors, ADVANTEST. Shmuel is a professional project manager; PMP certified by PMI – The International Association for Project Management.

 

He joined Tech-Career as a mentor in 2011 and after a year was invited to join the board of directors.

Tal Eyaso

Tal was born in 1981, and came to Israel via Sudan in 1984 in Operation Moses. He attended Carmit boarding school and graduated high school from ORT Givat Ram, Jerusalem. He later enlisted to the IDF and served for 9 years in the HFC.

 

In 2008 Tal joined Tech-Career as a student and studied Computer Programming and .NET Applications' Development. Once he completed his training he began working in the hi-tech industry. Currently, Tal works at Shimkotek, a subsidiary of Loden, which specializes in developing testing systems, back office ticketing and more. Tal has integrated into the company successfully, forming close-knit relationships. As a result, three other program graduates have also been recruited to the company.

 

Tal volunteers at Tech-Career once a week and tutors the .NET and SQA classes. Tal is a classic example of Tech-Career's vision: Ethiopian Israeli young adults taking the lead in creating a conceptual, social and economic change, serving as an ambassador for the Israeli hi-tech industry and a role model for young Ethiopian Israelis.

Lina Slutzkin-Katz

Lina has a BA in Computer Science and Mathematics. She served in the IDF's computer unit for 4 years. Lina has worked for Intel for 18 years, and for the past 13 years has filled various management positions. Lina managed the QA group at Intel Jerusalem's development center. Lina's department has been teaching Networking on a volunteer basis at Tech-Career since its establishment. Lina joined Tech-Career's Board of Directors in the summer of 2008.

Vlad Slutzkin

Vlad immigrated to Israel from the former Soviet Union in 1990. He holds an MA in Computer Science. Vlad has worked in Israel's high tech industry for over 17 years. He is currently in charge of Global ERP Projects at Teva. Vlad joined Tech-Career's Board of Directors in the summer of 2008.

Genetu Tsegaye

Genetu is a Tech-Career graduate now employed at Clalit Health Services. Genetu joined the board in 2012 and volunteers as a mentor.

Andres Kukawka

Andres is an international senior management and technology consulting professional within the Information Technology industry and business.  In addition to his leadership & entrepreneurship, Andres brings rich experience in strategic technology management throughout the US, Israel, and Europe.

Andres brings varied start-up experience in areas of SW Product Development, IT Services, Wireless Internet access, mobile enablement, cloud, and large enterprise strategies.  Andres has a rich Executive and has consulted for a series of C-level executives across multiple industries on a global scale.

Andres held the CEO position for a Global Technology Services company with offices in Israel, Ramallah, Paris, and London, and prior to it he was the CIO of a global IT Services company with business activities across the globe.

Andres holds an MS in Information Systems and Management.  Andres was an honorarium Information Technology Instructor at the University of Colorado at Denver.  Andres enjoys the outdoors, bicycling, hiking, and spending time with his family.

Andres joined the Tech-Career board in 2012.

Hiwot Yimer

Hiwot is an Ethiopian Israeli immigrated to Israel in 1986. Currently she holds a Global Business Analyst position in Teva an Israeli Pharmaceutical company. Hiwot joined the Tech-Career's Board of Directors since the beginning.

Audit Committee

Einat Karniel

Einat is an organizational consultant and group facilitator. She assists organizations through processes of development and change, consulting managers and facilitating work groups. She has over 18 years of experience in a wide range of organizations and companies – In the hi-tech industry, in the education system, in the third sector and in the private sector. She incorporates her many years of experience together with her extensive theoretical knowledge. Einat holds a M.Sc. in Behavioral Science and Management from the Technion and is a member of the Israeli Association for Organizational Development.

Avinoam Faltin

Avinoam served in management roles in the computer division of Tadiran and Bank Mizrachi-Tefahot. Throughout his career he has served as an independent consultant on computers and project management in various bodies including the Bank of Israel and the Ministry of Education.

CEO/ Naphtali Avraham

Naphtali earned degrees in engineering from the Technion and Tel Aviv University.  For twenty years, he was a senior officer in the Israeli Defense Forces, managing engineering and construction projects for the Israeli Army and Air Force. Naphtali has worked with military leaders to integrate Ethiopian-Israeli soldiers into technical divisions of the Air Force and was a founding member of an organization to advance Ethiopian-Israeli academics.  He speaks with at-risk youth in special schools and is a fellow in the Maoz Public Leadership Program.

 

Naphtali made the perilous journey through the Sudan to Israel as a young teenager and a few years later enlisted in the Israeli Army. He earned degrees in engineering from the Technion and Tel Aviv University.

Chief Operations Officer/ Morit Drori

Morit Drori has extensive experience as a senior manager of nonprofit organizations, including Ethiopian-Israeli NGOs.

Course Coordinator and Recruiting Manager/ Uri (Berihun) Rada

Uri is a Tech-Career graduate who joined Tech-Career in 2013 as the coordinator of a course conducted in coordination with two leading high-tech firms. He now oversees Tech-Career programs and is the liaison with students, monitoring their progress and providing individual guidance and counsel to as needed.  His experience includes volunteer mentorships and student initiatives. He served in an elite IDF unit. As a two-year old he made the journey with his family to the Sudan to reach Israel.

Project Manager and Administration/ Michu Wandemagen

Michu earned a B.A. in Public Policy Administration and a certificate in computer applications. Her experience includes work as a manager in the public sector and participation in a grassroots volunteer initiative in Ashdod.

Recruitment and Employer Relations Manager/ Melishu Samai

Melishu joined Tech-Career in August 2016 (to replace Doron Toren during her maternity leave) and her future focus will be the expansion of Tech-Career’s alumni program. Mileshu has ten years of experience in nonprofit organizations and most recently guided women entrepreneurs launching small businesses.

Recruitment and Employer Relations Manager/Doron Toren (on maternity leave)

Doron joined tech-Career in 2013 and her experience includes high-tech job placement at a leading Israeli employment agency. She earned a B.A. in Sociology, Anthropology and Communications from Ben-Gurion University.

Resource Development Manager/ Avigail Harel

Avigail joined Tech-Career in November 2012. Her previous experience includes varied marketing positions and she earned an MA in Political Communications at Hebrew University.
