The Mentoring Program
Mentors, experienced high tech professionals, volunteer to accompany students one-on-one in order to familiarize them with the high tech work culture and help prepare students for the transition into the industry both personally and professionally, facilitating their integration.
Supports, advises and guides the student.
Aids student in the job search process and integration into the company.
The Mentoring Program helps each student develop a professional network and generates placement opportunities for Tech-Career graduates.
The mentoring program lasts approximately eight months and includes a personal bi-monthly meeting (once every two weeks for 90 minutes) and ongoing contact with the graduate throughout this period. The mentors participate in a training workshop prior to the first meeting and a number of additional workshops throughout the project, which provide them with the tools and skills to guide the graduates.
This is an opportunity to contribute significantly to Israeli society, and specifically to the Ethiopian Israeli community, in promoting both a social and vocational change.
