Outstanding Graduates

Tirza Daniel Smolianinov, Salesforce Implementers for Women graduate

"My name is Tirza and I will be 42 years old in April. Today I work at Elad Systems as a Salesforce and Titan implementer and I believe that the sky is the limit.

I heard about Tech-Career when I was on maternity leave after the birth of my third child, during the third COVID lockdown. I came across an ad for the course on the Facebook page "Empowering Ethiopian Women." After a brief deliberation, I registered for the course, underwent the recruitment process, was accepted into the program, and set off on a new, challenging and interesting path.

Tech-Career created a comprehensive approach that enveloped me and my classmates with tools that developed our capabilities: high level training, English lessons with volunteer mentors from abroad, Excel lessons, financial advice, career preparation with interview simulations and visits to tech companies.

Tech-Career helped me pave an independent pathway that challenges and develops me, both professionally and personally.

For me Passover symbolizes freedom and independence, and I wish everyone a very Happy Passover!"

Emanuel Belay Samson, QA Automation graduate:

"My name is Emanuel, I was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and I moved to Israel a year and a half ago. I settled in Zefat, where I enrolled in an Ulpan program to learn Hebrew.

While living in Zefat, I heard about a QA automation course that was being offered by Tech-Career in collaboration with the Jewish Agency. Studies were specifically designed for newcomers to Israel, and I saw it as a chance to enhance my skills and pursue my passion for technology. I applied for the course and was delighted to be selected.

The course was held in Beer-Sheva, which meant that I had to relocate once again. However, I was determined to make the most of the opportunity and embraced the challenge of learning in a new city. Over the course of the 8-month program, I learned about different types of automation testing tools, and methodologies. I gained a comprehensive understanding of test plans, cases, and their importance. Tech-Career gave me so much. The English program helped me improve my English speaking capabilities, which is really important in this industry. My personal mentor, Shay, who works as a QA team leader in the industry, was extremely supportive - he helped me understand how to pave my way within the industry. And throughout the career preparation process, Tech-Career provided me really meaningful content: job search tools, lectures on placement-related subjects, and a career preparation course.

My hard work and dedication throughout the course paid off when I was invited to attend a job interview before completing the course. I impressed the hiring managers with my knowledge and enthusiasm and I was offered a job at Beaconcure, in Tel Aviv. On March 26, 2023, I started my first QA manual testing position with the company. My knowledge of automation testing which I gained at Tech-Career, combined with my willingness to learn, will undoubtedly help me advance and be an asset to the company.

My journey is an inspiring example of how determination and the right opportunities can lead to success. Despite facing challenges such as language barriers and having to relocate, I persevered and seized the chance to enhance my skills. My story reminds others that with hard work, dedication, and a willingness to learn, we can achieve our dreams. I am very grateful to Tech-Career, look forward to giving back to the community, and am confident I will succeed."
